C&B BOOKS, was started in 1995, by Carol Rogers & Brenda Piper.The motivation behind this book business, was the lack of affordable books written by black authors. We decided to become an asset to our Youth and the African American community in a whole. We offer our books for less then the major stores, we knew this would provide our readers with a wider variety of reading material. We have, titles for all ages in all catagories, fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, inspirational, educational etc.

Ms. Audrey Farquharson is a single mother of two beautiful sons. She is a native of Jamaica (one of 12 siblings), and now resides in Syracuse New York. She has a very smart wit and a booming personality. She is very family oriented and enjoys a very active church life. Audrey�s other loves are writing and singing.

Audrey comes from very humble beginnings, which motivates and drives her everyday toward reaching her goals. She is continuously working to self improve, she graduated from Onondaga Community College with a certification in medical billing and coding. For the past ten years she has worked as a Certified Nurse�s Assistant, where she received numerous awards for excellence in her job performance.

Audrey is very goal oriented, and a very determined individual. She is a force to be reckoned with. Her one childhood wish, if only she could make it to America, she knew she would be able to accomplish anything. Finally, that day came and she was able to come to America. In 2011, Audrey was able to accomplish another dream, she wrote and published her first book, �So Many Ups and Downs�, the book depicts her life story. Although, she has been able to meet two major goals, she is still not slowing down, she also wants to pursue song writing and singing. One day she hopes that one of her other dreams will come true; meeting Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. They are two biggest influences in her life, if they could come from absolutely nothing and become so wonderfully successful, surely so could she.

�I hate being poor, people look down on you when you are poor. They treat you like crap, like you do not belong here. Being in a shelter is rough, you have to eat anything they serve, these stupid rules, rules that don�t make sense. I�m frustrated I need to get out of here. Lord please show me a way out of here and poverty�
