C&B BOOKS, was started in 1995, by Carol Rogers & Brenda Piper.The motivation behind this book business, was the lack of affordable books written by black authors. We decided to become an asset to our Youth and the African American community in a whole. We offer our books for less then the major stores, we knew this would provide our readers with a wider variety of reading material. We have, titles for all ages in all catagories, fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, inspirational, educational etc.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Michele Fletcher-- wife, mother, award winning business owner and author.

Born and raised in Brooklyn , New York , Michele attended beauty school and founded Lifestyles in 1993.

Now, a budding CEO, Michele's salons employed almost 100 stylists making the three salons its own mecca for beauty and personal care; going on to win countless awards and certifications for excellence. Despite being a successful business woman and upstanding member of her community, Michele lost her salons, her home and everything she owned due to her untimely arrest for credit card fraud and was sentenced to 48 months in prison. Michele hopes to use her experience to educate consumers and mentor other at-risk, troubled young women; with the hope that others will be inspired by her story of redemption.

The lessons learned are chronicled in a action packed, street thriller, novel based on Michele's life called Charge It To The Game , under La' Femme Fatale' Publishing. Michele currently lives in Prince Georges County, Maryland with her three daughters and is working on her second novel.
