ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Delores Thornton: Editor and Publisher:
Delores Thornton, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, belongs to several writing organizations including: The International Women's Writing Guild and The Writers Center of Indianapolis. She's also a volunteer for the Indianapolis Public Library Literacy Program. Thornton started writing several years ago and friends encouraged her to publish her first novel, Ida Mae, in 1997. Her second work, Ida Mae: The Saga Continues, was released in December 1998. May 2000, she released Ida Mae the combined edition. Her third novel, titled Babe released December 2000. Delores is currently working on her next novel, Anybody Seen Junebug? When she has spare time, Thornton likes long drives and visiting her grown children and grandchildren

It will air on radio station WTLC, AM 1310, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Premiere show is Thursday, July 4, 2002, at 7:15 P.M. The show will highlight and spotlight African American authors and literary entrepreneurs. Thornton will also offer self publishing tips as well as marketing and promotional tidbits! There will also be book discussions and book club guests. AND...audience participation via a call-in segment. Delores Thornton announces that her radio show, 'A Round 2 It', launched on July 4, 2002. It was an instant hit and Thornton has received praises from around the nation. Synopsis: Babe, set in Indianapolis, is the story of an 82 year old African American female who is experiencing headaches and nightmares. Her daughter, Valeeda, has her examined by the family physician, who determines that she is physically sound. At the doctor's recommendation a psychiatrist is called and hypnosis is suggested. Through this process her whole life unfolds--all the way back to age 5, when she witnessed a lynching in her native Georgia. Other characters are; Vivian Delaney, an aspiring author on tour; Dorian Simmons, a union steward at the U.S. Postal Service and Aloyishus Burns, a recovering alcoholic.
