Nivia Carroll
She is an Occupational Therapist who has worked in the multi-cultural city of Miami Florida for over nine years. She has seen the power of communication assist in the rehabilitation of some of the most severe stroke and accident victims. As a therapist she helps patients understand their physical limitations and often times helps their families cope with new challenges. Part of her regular job responsibilities are to motivate people who have barely escaped death and have major life adjustments to make. She feels that the people and families who have a strong relationship with god or have given thought to life handle crisis better.
Jeffrey Carroll
He is an entertainment agent who uses his diverse artist roster to bridge the Racial Divide that is prominent on College Campuses. He is owner of RBG Promotions which works directly with student program boards across the Country. He provides poets and comics who spark student dialogs by sharing opinions about taboo topics. He has Collateral Degree in African Studies and a Bachelors in Management Science. He has worked as a National Youth Advisor for the NAACP. He is a firm believer that the Racial Divide that plagues America can be positively affected through good communication and one on one human interaction.
Mrs. Kenya Covington, PhD
Consistently filling the void of policy analysis sensitive to African Americans and other minorities, single mothers, children and the poor, Dr. Kenya Covington conducts research on important social and urban policy issues offering thoughtful policy alternatives to mitigate the challenges that many American families face. Although academically trained and possessing a tremendous grasp of quantitative analysis skills, she has amassed a rich level of practical experience regarding national policy concerns. Currently she is the Associate Director of Research at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. in Washington, D.C. for the Center for Policy Analysis and Research.
Donna Johnson, LSW
She currently is a clinical counselor at a women?s shelter. In her therapy sessions she regularly uses questioning to provide clarity and solutions to many personal and group issues. She is able to see the results of good effective communication directly. She has contributed professionally by using the workshops to help guide readers to use the questions toward strong relationship building.
