C&B BOOKS, was started in 1995, by Carol Rogers & Brenda Piper. Two years ago we started the C&B Book club, the club has grown immensely. The motivation behind this book business, was the lack of affordable books written by black authors. We decided to become an asset to our Youth and the African American commuitiy in a whole. We offer our books for less then the major stores, we knew this would provide our readers with a wider variety of reading material. We have, titles for all ages in all catagories, fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, inspirational, educational etc.

Long Island Businessman Phil Andrews nominated and selected for International Who's Who

Phil Andrews

International WHO'S WHO occupies an important place in the Who's Who market. International WHO'S WHO specializes in providing members with current and accurate biographical data on some of the most prolific business professionals in the world. In contrast to our competitors, Who's who expanded biographies are written in an easy-to-read and use format, free of confusing jargon or codes. To maximize networking usefulness, Who's who members' biographies are not only indexed by the individual's last name, but also by their company name, their geographic area, and the specific industry in which they work. This allows members to target their networking efforts to reach markets for expanding their business.

International WHO'S WHO brings international recognition as a leader in your field and provides a valuable third party endorsement. A person joins a country club to associate with the right kind of people, to develop business and social contacts, and gain image and credibility enhancement for themselves and their organization. International WHO'S WHO members get those same benefits in a different format for less dollars: an extremely powerful networking and public relations tool used by distinguished peers who have the International WHO'S WHO directory at their fingertips with their biography included.

Who's who research staff chooses the best possible candidates by researching trade journals, business publications, and organizations like Dun & Bradstreet. They also send nomination forms to all of their members in their membership packages so they are provided with the opportunity to nominate anyone they feel would benefit from membership. They do not, however, keep any records as to the source of the nomination in an effort to avoid embarrassment to the candidate or nominating member in the event of a rejection of an application. As an important force in the Who's Who market, we take the process a bit further than the academic and social registries. Our professional business directories are published with the intent of providing recognition; exposure and publicity based upon one's lifetime accomplishments, whether they are academic, social, or professional. Our goal is to maintain the high quality of our membership by providing accurate and complete professional biographies. On August 25, 2003 Mr. Phil Andrews was nominated and selected for International Who's Who. Mr. Andrews is C & B Books Distribution public relations director. Phil Andrews recently propelled C & B Books Distribution Center to over 100,000 web site hits in a period of less than 14 months. C & B Books has been featured at Circle of Sisters Expo and highlighted on Unity First News wire located at www.unityfirst.com. C & B Books has a special authors club where they feature and promote aspiring authors through a authors club which specializes in self-published authors and aspiring authors. Mr. Andrews recently joined the National African American Speakers Association and has been recently appointed as the Vice President of Public Relations for the National African American Speakers Association (NAASA). Phil Andrews has served in many capacities during the last decade such as 100 Black Men Board of Directors, Roosevelt Chamber Commerce Board Member. He has been honored as the Nassau Council Chamber of Commerce/Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce Small Business person of the year 1995 and Nassau Council Chamber of Commerce/West Indian Chamber of Commerce Small Business person of the year. He is also featured in the book 15 Years of Minority Business Development written by Mr. Robert H. Adams publisher of the Economic Forum Newspaper/Minority Business Review. Mr. Andrews has served on the Executive Board of the Hempstead NAACP and is certified as a Mentor by the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
