C&B BOOKS, was started in 1995, by Carol Rogers & Brenda Piper. Two years ago we started the C&B Book club, the club has grown immensely. The motivation behind this book business, was the lack of affordable books written by black authors. We decided to become an asset to our Youth and the African American commuitiy in a whole. We offer our books for less then the major stores, we knew this would provide our readers with a wider variety of reading material. We have, titles for all ages in all catagories, fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, inspirational, educational etc.

Greetings! Not very often does a hot selling author like Denise Campbell, of www.universalwrite.com, with steamy best selling book titles like Ebony Passion and Spanish Eyes take the time from a lucrative grand debut of a much anticipated novel now available entitled, Love Thy Sister, Watch Thy Back to help out a very much needed charity fundraiser for Rape Crisis And Domestic Violence Intervention. It is a quiet travesty that takes a brave soul like Denise Campbell who can pull authors from around the nation to help raise funds for charities in New York, the new trend for literary authors who commit themselves to help others before helping themselves. Charities and fundraising organizations everywhere are calling on authors like Denise to help restore New York City, especially after Septemeber 11, 2001 which the after effects have trickled into family's homes with violence. So when Denise was challenged by Gloria Vaughn, also a member of The Author's For Charity Program featured at www.authorsforcharity.com, and who also, spearheaded a charity fundraiser in her state of Indiana for drug prevention, Denise without hesitation planned one of the biggest fundraisers for The Rape Crisis And Domestic Violence Intervention Program, drawing 20 authors. AMAZING! There are way too many authors to mention, but folks can pick up their copy of THE DAILY NEWS on Friday morning, October 3, 2003 on the day before the event, to see a complete listing and a top INTERVIEW with Denise Campbell by a Daily News reporter that was supposed to be 30 minutes and lasted 3 hours. You may not know that Denise Campbell is a proud Jamaican- born powerhouse motivational speaker. It is easy to become entranced by the savvy modern day author starlet who passionately cares about others and is a professional poetess and novelist.

The Donna Hill Renaissance Award of The Year For Most Aspiring New Author

Donna Hill presents award to the most aspiring new author at The YOUnity Reviewers Guild Awards Annual Gala Celebration in The Bronx, NY on Feb. 6, 2004! RSVP 1-718-547-0499 September 28, 2003

Greetings! The Essence Best Selling Author first appeared onto the scene in 1990 with Rooms of the Heart, and just a year later took the nation by storm with Indiscretions. Readers wanted more, but had to wait until 1994 for the release of Temptation. The pattern of success was set with one best selling book after another that set a wave of excitement for fans of Black literature , but something miraculous happened. Donna's stories like Scandalous in 1995 that could not be confused or touched by imitations, Deception in 1996 that raised eyebrows of the critics, Intimate Betrayal and A Private Affair that were ready made novels for the movie screen landed Donna Hill a monumental mark as The Black Reigning Queen of Literature across the world who is just as beautiful, resilient, poised and classy as the day she first took pen to paper. This modern literary starlet who has readers everywhere heralding her as a martyr and The True Renaissance Woman on the blooming breakpoint of the millennium is Disilgolds Infusionary Renaissance Woman of The Year 2003/2004, and we are honored that Donna Hill will pass on her reign to the next Aspiring New Author for 2004/2005 and every year proceeding. You'd think that Donna would vacation after her highly acclaimed books, but she continued to bring us more of the books that we stand on line for at book signings, share with our brothers and sisters, come out to meet and greet her personally at book fairs, and just share the impact Donna has made on all readers and writer's lives. She inspires many at The Queens Library to stay in touch with her fans. People are amazed to meet the very much sought after author in the nation! Take a look around the internet! Donna is everywhere, and deservingly so as an inspiration and mentor to many new novelists. Book clubs all around the world love this humble soul, who warmly acknowledges the bookstores who go unnoticed at Bookeventscentral.com, sheds light on new authors in every newsletter she sends to her loyal fans. And- even after breakthrough titles like Quiet Storm 1991, Chances Are 1998, Charade 1998, If I Could 2002, Rhythms 2001,and An Ordinary Woman 2002, not to mention countless heart warming and dramatic short stories in anthologies, there is no doubt that Donna Hill is here to stay. Even if Donna took a vacation, there would still be a demand for Donna's books. We just hope that she'll be the most deserving and hardest working lady "Rockin' Around That Christmas Tree" when this major buzz worthy holiday novel debuts by Donna, and that finally, when her most anticipated novel of all time, "In My Bedroom" hits the shelves everywhere across the country in 2004, Donna will have all of her childhood dreams of success fulfilled when she announces The Donna Hill Renaissance Literary Award For Aspiring New Author of The Year! We know that Donna Hill wants to return that magic, and on February 6, 2004, someone's literary career will spark with the same excitement we all felt when Donna Hill appeared. Who will be crowned with this honor on this glorious day? Learn more...
