As a young child the Strength Within helped Roland and his younger brother survive abuse at the hands of his mother, and missing in action dad, who by the way, only showed up to add to his already dismal world of abuse.

His lack of education was due to the verbal and physical abuse he recieved from his early childhood. However, Roland found the Strength Within, and graduated from College after a long struggle. However, his Strength Within was not truly identified until he attended Church Service reluctantly, one Sunday with his cousin. Roland found God, and realized that God was His true source of survival, throughout his entire life. Roland believed that God deserted him, didn't exist or just didn't care for him, so he only believed that his Strength Within was his on true nature and he was the tiger tattooed on his arm, not God.

Please Come Home for Christmas, is the perfect gift for this season. Family is everything and during the holidays we all come together to celebrate. Giving family members copies of this title will enlightened them, and help them remember what family is truly all about.

Don has done a marvelous job of expressing the value of family relationships. We are all individuals, we have different characteristics, Don shows this in his well written novel about true meaning Family.

In relationships their are always disagreements, why should it be any different with our family members, we are only required to love one another, this doesn't mean that we will agree with the members of our families at all times.

We all have flaws, and want to be understood. Don tells the tale of our families in Please Come Home For Christmas. The beginning: Jane the devoted wife and mother, and Earl the Father, husband, and pastor of Queens Community Church face the same problems that we do with our own children. Their two daughters Ella and Angie battle over the same man, Angie steals Ella's ex-boyfriend, Larry and runs away with him, and to top it off becomes pregnant. Ella is angry with her Mom for allowing her to come back home pregnant and with her ex-boyfriends child. Sound familiar?

The holidays bring drama when the family gets together for Thanksgiving. Sam their son is always at odds with his father Earl for various reasons. Earl is a pastor and doesn't agree with all the immoral behavior going on in his family. He is really upset by Sam's desire to join a Black Militant group. Sam lack of respect hightens unfortunately, when he finds out that his fault finding finger pointing dad has been immoral with another woman -- Sound familiar?

The family drama doesn't stop there - Pearl, Ella's sister and her son are waiting on her husband Bill to return form military duty only to find that he has been captured by the enemy in Vietnam. Will he make it home for Christmas? Find out in Please Come Home For Christmas.

Sam can't take it anymore drama and attempts to rid his self of this world. Meanwhile Ella is fighting with herself over whether she should move in with Larry her ex-boyfriend who ran off with her sister and fathered her child. Sound Familiar?

This story takes on many twist and turns of real family life, it is a page turner about family and relationships. Despite the anger, resentment the drama does come to an end and unconditional love wins overall. It does in most of our families, only if we remember that loving our family unconditionally is what truly counts.

I was very impressed with the message that this author brought to the forefront regarding African American family relationship. Bravo is all that I can say. The part that really touched my heart was that the book is based on the song that we all have come to love "Please Come Home For Christmas" - Sound Familiar?

This is a great novel and I am personally giving this book to the members of my family for Christmas
Five Stars are Just not enough.

Just could not put this book down. Triple Crown sent this book to C&B; Books on March 20th, March 22nd, I finished the entire book.

I am left in suspense, Is Precious dead, I can't wait for the next book, I know there has to be a sequel to this.

Precious a sweet, hardworking 15 year old teen, with a mother who is a prostitute and crack cocaine abuser, is forced into a life she didn't ask for.

However, the survival game turns her into a true BITCH in any sense of the word. This game will cause her plenty. The lost of her first and only true love - rap star Supreme, her unborn child. She has lost so much in her very young life. She is betrayed by those she loved, the Bitch in her sort revenge, a Bitch has pride and demands loyalty and respect. Precious gets hers but at such a high price.

The book is extremely well written. I must say Triple Crowne Authors never let me down. Vikkie Stringer does and outstanding job giving out her crowns.

BRAVO BRAVO: You will not be able to put this title down until the very end.

Title:Mis-Guided

Miss-Guided is a great title for this story. Mothers can create good women or monsters; in this very intense novel you will learn the true meaning of love, lust, deceit, and greed and down right selfishness. We wonder why we can't get good men, if women would truly be the person that they are inside, their beauty would shine through and the man that they seek will be standing right there, unfortunately the characters in this twisted tale, will find that love, lust, deceit and greed equals disaster. " What a wicked web we weave, when we tend to deceive."

I highly recommend that men read this novel as well, they should not always be perceived as the bad guys, not when you have women who are only seeking financial gain. Kennedy, the so-called Diva, in the story, has a son with her ex-lover, Troy, he comes back into play once she finds out that her present lover has a wife and baby which she knew nothing about, did she deserve that deceit, absolutely.

However, a greedy diva recovers quickly at the expense of her son's grandfather being on his death bed; Troy's father is a wealthy man and will leave his son very well off. Kennedy's calculator comes out and she pounces back into action, hooking up with her son's dad Troy once again.

Troy drunk with love thinks that this is the best thing ever he begins to shower her with all the love and affection that she doesn't deserve. Mother's instinct is never wrong and Troy's mother warns him that Kennedy is not the one for him. However, Troy doesn't listen; he is so blinded by love that he would literarily drink Kennedy's bath water.

Does he remain her love slave? Well that would be up to Kennedy's best friend, Dina who will be used to cover up Kennedy's betrayal as she plots with Kennedy to once again deceive Troy. How far will you go for a friend? Read Miss-guided to find out all the twist and turns that these women will take to get what they want out of a man. Money, Money and More Money and they don't care who or what they use, even innocent children. They have certainly been Miss-Guided!
